
In order to have mutual benefits, companies should enhance closer relationships in each of their transaction (merger, acquisition, joint venture, disposition or strategic alliance). If they create partnerships they can combine competencies and information and add more value to their transactions. The better they are forming, executing and completing joint venture, the better positioned they will be to exploit new opportunities.
For example, we can think about the joint venture existing between Microsoft
and the TV channel NBC. The common company, named MSNBC, is an
interactive Internet channel which allies the competences of the two media to
offer to the customers national news.
