When a person belongs to a community that means that he shares something with the other members. The Web communities
On the
Internet, we can find all these communities and the phenomenon is more and more
important. It works since that rests on the principal of mutual aid and the Net
surfers are used to ask for help. They use blogs, comments, forums, chats or
e-mail. The communication creates the community too.
The companies understood that this
principle of community could be lucrative for them if they are able to create a
community of values around their products or their brands. People speak
together about the company, recommend it to their friends, share information…
the community increases and the company is more and more famous!
To successfully create a community,
which is in fact created by the customers, the brand has to offer to them some
tools and some advantages when joining the community! The best example is the
mega community Myspace which is one of the biggest all around the world: Net
surfers, on Myspace can use a blog, share pictures, videos or music and this
community is increasing more and more!
